Allcare Dental Out of Business Update January 5, 2011

As reported earlier Allcare Dental has closed its doors (many states) and gone out of business.

Here is today's update on Allcare Dental's interim website.

Allcare Dental

POSTED JANUARY 5th, 2011

Dear Patients,

Please know that the allcare.com website was shut down Monday by our network provider. At this time, allcareinfo.com is the only official update site. Phone systems and Computer network/server are still down but Allcare is continuing to work to bring those back on.

Allcare is still continuing to work day and night to transfer patient records and unfinished dental work in the offices to dentists with offices located as close as possible to the closed Allcare locations. Also, working to get patient records made available.

*DEVELOPMENTS*

1. Many positive developments in the following locations:

  • Iowa
  • North Dakota
  • New Hampshire
  • Ohio: Akron, Canton and the Cleveland region
  • NY: Syracuse, Utica

More specifics to come on above locations once chart transfer documents are completed by both parties. Allcare is expecting to have plans for some of these locations finalized and posted as early as Thursday morning, January 6th. We will post as information becomes available.

2. Finalized transfers:

Boardman, OH: If you were a patient at Allcare’s Boardman Ohio location, your records have been transferred to the following practices. Please call to make your appointment:

Dental Express and Refresh Dental

1-330-533-3400.

Please be aware that Dental Express and refresh Dental are not accepting Allcare patients from other states or locations, only those patients who were previously treated at the Allcare Boardman Ohio office. Thank you.

If your office was not mentioned above, please don’t get discouraged. Allcare is working day and night on all locations. We are committed and confident that we will have solutions for you in the coming days. The next posting is scheduled for Friday, January 7th, but earlier postings are likely because of the positive developments mentioned above (1).

Thank you again for your patience and understanding.

As I said before, it would be a matter of days and/or weeks before another dental management company or group of dental offices would either purchase or assume patient care for Allcare Dental. The final financial arrangements may ultimately be handled by a federal bankruptcy court, however.

Patients of Allcare Dental should remain vigilant and contact their state dentistry board to apply pressure for a speedy resolution of continuing care issues and refunding of patient fees.
