Virginia Illegal Alien Accused of Practicing Dentistry Without a License

Jose Hernandez

It is bad enough that you have this miscreant practicing dentistry without a license but apparently he is not even in the United States legally.
A Chesterfield County man accused of practicing dentistry without a license has been performing invasive dental procedures here illegally since at least 2005, court documents say.

Jose A. Hernandez, 53, apparently was living here illegally since he immigrated from his native Mexico 11 years ago and began operating a business called LA Dental Lab seven years ago out of his home in the 7900 block of Hull Street Road, according to newly filed court records.

Chesterfield authorities have charged Hernandez with practicing dentistry without a license and performing invasive dental procedures for which a license is required. He has been charged with a total of six offenses, three felonies and three misdemeanors, for alleged offenses that occurred over a period of months in 2005, 2007 and 2010, according to arrest warrants in Chesterfield General District Court.

He first was charged with four offenses Feb. 11, then charged again last Friday — his birthday — with two additional crimes. The six charges involve at least two alleged victims.
Hernandez will probably get some sort of fine, probation and hopefully be deported back to Mexico. Don't count on that deportion though - or paying the income taxes he has avoided for some ten years.

Why did it take the State of Virginia so long to discover him?
